Pay: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting linen and cleaning products to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills, a valid driving licence, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as required.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and handling any necessary paperwork.
- Preferable to have your own vehicle for the job – if you have your own vehicle we would offer a higher hourly rate.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns during the delivery process.
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
