Courier Driver

Pay: £12.21 Per Hour

The role will require excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards. Using electronic and paper-based forms of recording tasks and items delivered and collected, making sure that all courier tasks are carried out correctly and to scheduled times. The role may involve heavy lifting/manual handling of equipment and goods, using a tail lift and loading/unloading and moving of Roll cages.

The role will be driving vehicles from small vans and up to 3.5 tonne Luton vans, these can be driven on the category B part of the UK driving licence.


This role is a full time role, working 5 days out of 7 (times are anywhere between 07:00-18:00, 40hrs pw)

Other duties include:

  • To carry out courier journeys to various locations and to agreed routes and timings.
  • To complete digital and manual documentation required by both legislation and organisational procedures.
  • To maintain regular contact with the operations office using a range of communication systems.
  • To ensure all items are always kept safe and secure.
  • To always comply with the Road Traffic Act while driving and other relevant legislation connected to the vehicle.
  • To act as customer contact at delivery points of service, and relay relevant information to the operations office.
  • To complete vehicle checks prior to use, and to notify any defects to the Operations Office verbally and by recording on appropriate documentation.
  • To always act in a polite and courteous manner to customers and road users.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • full UK Manual Driving Licence (maximum 6 points)
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a Team.
  • Must be able to use a PDA (training will be provided)
