    About the role

    As a Parts Delivery Driver for Arnold Clark, you will carry out multi-drop deliveries to branches and independent motor traders. As well as driving safely and delivering on time, you’ll also be responsible for collecting cash from customers and passing it back to the relevant branches.

    The ideal candidate will be physically able to handle some heavy lifting and must be able to work well as part of a team. Some degree of flexibility is also required to occasionally provide holiday cover for other drivers.

    Day-to-day duties

    Carrying out deliveries to trade customers and Arnold Clark branches
    Driving safely and representing the company in a professional manner at all times
    Collecting cash sales and returning them to the correct branch
    Carrying out regular van maintenance checks
    Lifting heavy vehicle components
    Providing occasional holiday cover for other drivers

    Job Title: Multidrop driver – Courier (B licence)
    Working hours: 45 hrs per week

    Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 07:00 – 17:00 (60 minutes unpaid break)
    Salary: £14.07 per hour, £32,923.80 per annum. Premia paid for hours worked between 7pm – 10pm, and 10pm – 6am.

    What will you going to be doing?

    • Collection and delivery of parcels and freight to our customers

    Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location
    .

    It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.

    The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be.     • Loading the van as required, checking the van for roadworthiness.

    • Explaining to the customer that they will not be charged any more for their substitutions.
    • Delivering during the customers time slot.
    • Calling the customer before arriving at their property if early.
    • Calling the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.

    Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver for our branch. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering prescriptions to customers in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, ensuring that you always provide courteous and effective customer service.

    In this role, you will be handling important medication, so it is crucial that you understand the importance of delivering high-quality service and maintaining professionalism at all times. You will be interacting with vulnerable individuals within the community, and it is essential that you understand the importance of building rapport with these customers and ensuring that they receive their medication when they need it.

    In addition to delivering prescriptions, you will also be required to maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative records. This may include completing delivery logs, tracking inventory, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is properly filled out and filed.

  • Customer Delivery Driver, Supermarket Assistant

    Salary: £11.50 – £13.00 per hour

    About the role

    As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll be bringing the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service right to our customers’ doors. Actively playing out our ethos – passionate Partners serving food lovers. When you’re not out on the road, you’ll be back at the shop supporting the team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping. Contributing to the efficient and productive running of the shop in a friendly and welcoming team. Due to its nature, you need to be 18-years or older to work in this role. 

    Key Responsibilities

     You’ll typically start your day in store and you’ll be responsible for: – Checking your delivery routes for the day. – Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers. – Ensuring all of the appropriate vehicle safety checks are complete on your van, maintaining full road compliance, health and safety. – Being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand while on the road with great customer service as your number one priority. – Helping customers with their shopping and building a rapport with them based on trust and service. – Supporting the wider shop team when required with general shop keeping tasks. 

    Essential skills/experience you’ll need 

    – Full valid B-Category UK manual driving license with no more than 6-points. – Great customer service skills. -Time management skills. – Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting of crates, moving cages). – Comfortable working independently with the ability to be self motivated and adaptable. – IT literate.
