  • Store Delivery Driver

     Rate: £14.53 per hour

    We have over 300 B&Q Stores, our Digital Hub Stores are the largest in the estate and deliver locally to our customers’ homes. Deliveries in our 3.5 ton vans range from a tin of paint to 30 packs of flooring, so you’ll be comfortable with some heavy lifting & play an important part in helping our customers create a home they’ll love. When you’re not delivering multi-drop orders to customers’ homes, you will be based on our shopfloor where you will use new technology to fulfil customer orders and support your colleagues where needed. Efficiency and safety will be vital of course, but importantly, you’ll represent our B&Q brand, putting customers first, everywhere you go.

    A great communicator who can think clearly and make sound plans no matter how busy things get, you’ll feel right at home with us. You’re an organised and analytical thinker, and you know how to keep things simple. We’ll supply the 3.5 ton van, training and all the kit you’ll need to do the job. You’ll need a manual UK driving licence (Category B/B1 which covers you to drive up to 3.5T vehicles), that you’ve held for at least a year with no more than 6 points. Previous experience as a multi-drop delivery driver is useful, but not essential. You’re flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

    To keep everybody safe and reassure our customers, if you’re successful in this role, we carry out checks through Experian with the DVLA to verify the information you’ve given us. As well as this, we also do a DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service). Any discrepancies will be discussed directly with you.

    What Will You Do as a Multi-drop Delivery Driver?
    As part of our team, you won’t just be delivering our signature, handcrafted doughnuts—you’ll take ownership of your daily route and ensure the in-store cabinets are always stocked, clean, and perfectly merchandised. Your role will also include:

    • Ensuring our products reach our stores and grocery partners fresh and on time.
    • Playing a key role in driving sales and demand planning with accurate waste recording and smooth communication with the transport supervisor.


    What We’re Looking for in You:

    • Full UK Driver’s License: You’ll need this to hit the road.
    • Experience & Age: You must be over 21 and have held a full UK driving license for at least 2 years.
    • Driving Record: Ideally, you’ll have no more than 3 points for minor driving offences.
    • Experience: Previous commercial driving experience is a bonus!
    • People Skills: We’re looking for a team player who values inclusivity and a positive working environment.
    • Work Ethic: Reliability, a great attitude, and coachability are key.

  • Van Driver

    Salary: £33,000

    The Day to Day


    You’ll work five days a week—daytime hours—and there’s regular overtime up for grabs, paid at a premium rate. You’ll collect and deliver tyres from businesses, load them into your van and return them to the hub for offloading. There’s also some straightforward paperwork to do. The main thing is being dependable and creating a good impression of Stapletons on the road and at every drop.

    It should go without saying, but you’ll need a valid driving license. You’ll also need to be the kind of driver who conducts themselves calmly on the road and gets from A to B without a hitch. When you arrive at your destination, you’ll be up for a quick chat. If you can keep people smiling, there’s a long way you can go here.

    The role would suit any candidate who is looking for a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract position.

  • Driver – Swindon Parts Plus

    Salary: £27k

    Allen Motor Group are looking to recruit a Driver for our Parts Plus Centre in Swindon. You will be working to an efficient schedule whilst providing excellent customer service. This position is offered on a full time, 42.5 hour a week contract, Monday – Friday & 1 in 2 Saturday AM’s paying £26,984 per annum and reports to the Centre Manager.

    About the role

    As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll be bringing the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service right to our customers’ doors. Actively playing out our ethos – passionate Partners serving food lovers. When you’re not out on the road, you’ll be back at the shop supporting the team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping. Contributing to the efficient and productive running of the shop in a friendly and welcoming team. Due to its nature, you need to be 18-years or older to work in this role. 

    Key Responsibilities

     You’ll typically start your day in store and you’ll be responsible for: – Checking your delivery routes for the day. – Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers. – Ensuring all of the appropriate vehicle safety checks are complete on your van, maintaining full road compliance, health and safety. – Being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand while on the road with great customer service as your number one priority. – Helping customers with their shopping and building a rapport with them based on trust and service. – Supporting the wider shop team when required with general shop keeping tasks. 

    Essential skills/experience you’ll need 

    – Full valid B-Category UK manual driving license with no more than 6-points. – Great customer service skills. -Time management skills. – Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting of crates, moving cages). – Comfortable working independently with the ability to be self motivated and adaptable. – IT literate. 

    Desirable skills/experience you may have – Previous experience in a driving role and a knowledge of chilled vehicles would be welcomed.
