    Will trans is seeking a reliable and flexible driver to carry out nationwide deliveries of various goods using vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. No special licence is required.

    The role involves:

    • Driving across the country delivering a wide range of goods
    • Operating vehicles of different sizes (up to 3.5T)
    • Flexibility with working days and early morning starts to meet customer requirements

    In addition to delivery work, the successful applicant will undergo training at our Coningsby site. This training involves working as part of a team, delivering goods around the entire site using a 3.5T box van.

    Once training is completed, the driver will be responsible for both nationwide deliveries and regular duties at the Coningsby site.

    Responsibilities:
    – Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods from different sites
    – Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment
    – Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
    – Communicate with office staff to ensure accurate and complete orders
    – Provide excellent customer service by delivering products in a professional and courteous manner
    – Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance

    Requirements:
    – Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
    – Proven experience as a driver or in a similar role
    – Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
    – Strong attention to detail and organisational skill

    We are the largest independent washroom service and clinical waste management company in the South Wales region and are seeking appointment of a motivated individual to join our team.

    FULL TIME 7.5t COMMERCIAL VEHICLE DRIVER** required for collections of clinical waste & sharps containers from residential homes, hospitals, universities, clinics etc. Other tasks within the yard and warehouse may be required ie: loading/unloading of vehicles as the business needs require.

    Vehicle licence requirements:

    You will be required to hold a full clean licence and show evidence on your cv of work related driving experience.

    Candidates must hold the following category licence :

    • Category C1 licence (old Category A) candidates who are licensed to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes
    • Hold an up to date CPC qualification

    Wherever there are houses, there are people that need moving, many of our moves are in Gloucestershire, however you may find yourself driving across the UK.

    You’re never at the same place for more than a day; you will always be going different places and seeing different things.

    What You’ll Do:

    You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They’re a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure you’re comfortable.

    Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 5/6pm. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you’ll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.

    Key Role Responsibilities

    We don’t micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. This job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches – but also want to be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift, this is the job for you.

    You’ll make sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you – at others, you’ll need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

    You’ll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.

    So what makes a successful Delivery Driver?

    • To succeed as a G4S Delivery Driver you will need to hold a valid UK driver’s licence and be confident when communicating with customers and colleagues in both written and spoken English. An appropriate level of numeracy is also very important, and you will be adept following specific procedures and instructions and be able to work to tight deadlines. We ideally seek:
    • Previous experience in a driving role would be extremely beneficial but is not essential, as would experience using IT and computer systems.
