    • Clean and prepare vehicles to a high standard, inside and out

    Pay Rate: £38,561 per annum

    As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

    • Delivering furniture and white good into customers home to their room of choice – as part of a 2 person team.
    • Completing white good installations where booked (Training given on installation techniques)
    • Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations

    Who needs a 9 – 5 anyway?

    Our drivers commit to a varying shift pattern over 24 hours, 7 days a week to keep our services running, so you’ll need to be disciplined, punctual, reliable and ready to go at any time of the day! As this role is safety critical, you’ll need to be able to get to your depot within a maximum of 60 minutes commute time. Drivers work an average 35 hours over 4 days a week, however, during training you will work 40.5 hours over 5 days a week.

  • PM Van Driver

    Pay Rate – £14.85 per hour

    What you’ll be doing

    Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience :

    • Loading Customer orders from Warehouse to your Van
    • Ensuring all orders correct with delivery notes
    • Delivering customer order in correct manner
    • Following Health and safety and driving laws
    • Ensuring all trays are stacked neatly in van and empty tray from customers
    • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in vans/areas at all times
    • Ensuring all PPE issued is worn at all times

    Salary: The salary for this position is £35,243.52 per annum.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and traffic signs, while considering other road users.
    • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, including lights, brakes, and coolant levels.
    • Report any faults, breakdowns, accidents, or delays promptly.

    You will be responsible for


    Delivering your part of our customer shopping trip by:

    • I ensure the van and trays I use are clean and kept tidy/organised.
    • Leaving the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, and picking up litter as I see it.
    • Ensuring trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.Â
    • Loading the van as required, checking the van for roadworthiness.
    • Talking to the customer about any changes to their order, including short code item and substitutions, offering a refund for anything they are unhappy with.
    • Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were my own.
    • Explaining to the customer that they will not be charged any more for their substitutions.
    • Delivering during the customers time slot.
    • Calling the customer before arriving at their property if early.
    • Calling the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.

    North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) is looking to recruit an enthusiastic experienced Driver to join the existing Transport & Logistics team (non-patient facing).

    The role is based out of our site in Fulwood Preston. This role is for an experienced driver for all areas of the Trusts footprint (5,400 square miles) delivering/collecting samples, stock, parcels, letters stock receipt, stock accounting etc etc, therefore a valid clean driving license for use in the UK is required with demonstrable experience

    The successful candidate will be a natural team player but must be able to work with a minimum of supervision using their own initiative particularly when solo working. The ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the Trust (including the public) is essential; they must be confident and tolerant of dealing with queries from internal/external customers. Candidates must have competent administration skills and attention to detail when using the Trust system(s).

    This is a physical role, and the successful applicant will have to be fit and able to complete physical tasks on a day-to-day basis. Such tasks will be lifting, carrying stock (bulky), stock taking and accountancy and stock rotation.

    North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

    Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
