    Pay Rate: £34,983

     TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

    • Coordinating the picking and loading white goods / furniture onto your assigned vehicle prior to delivery
    • Accompanying and assisting driver with unloading deliveries at licensed premises or homes
    • Staying in touch with the transport team to advise of any problems
    • Completing relevant processes on an electronic handheld device

    THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

    • Are physically fit as the role involves lots of manual handling
    • Have previous experience of working with volume orders
    • Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage their own workload

  • Same Day Van Driver

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year

    We have 2 x vacancies (4, 5 or 6 days) for Experienced Long Distance Sprinter Van drivers for nationwide deliveries.

    Regular contract work for professional drivers capable of high personal standards and presentation and must have relevant nationwide vocational driving experience.

    Self Employed positions (plus holiday pay).

    Based at Bridlington or Hull

    Flexible Shifts: 4 days/5 days/6 days

    Applicants must live within East Yorkshire area for operational purposes and be suitably experienced and competent in driving/handling LWB/LARGE VANS safely and have a good working knowledge of the UK road and motorway networks and competent in securing, handling and delivering customer goods to sites and homes across the UK.

    • Handling/lifting/manual dexterity is required in this role
    • NIGHTS OUT are a requirement of these roles and all vans are fitted with sleeper bunks/heating
    • Must be personable and polite for these customer facing positions

    Pay: £13.35 – £14.56

    Delivering your part of our customer shopping trip by:

    • I ensure the van and trays I use are clean and kept tidy/organised.
    • Leaving the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, and picking up litter as I see it.
    • Ensuring trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.Â
    • Loading the van as required, checking the van for roadworthiness.
    • Talking to the customer about any changes to their order, including short code item and substitutions, offering a refund for anything they are unhappy with.
    • Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were my own.
    • Explaining to the customer that they will not be charged any more for their substitutions.
    • Delivering during the customers time slot.
    • Calling the customer before arriving at their property if early.
    • Calling the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.

    • To always be at the owner’s disposal.
    • Ensure that the Image of the Hotel is well maintained when in road traffic.

    • Ascertain if guests would like to listen to the radio.
    • Ensure standard amenities (water still, sparkling, chilled and room temperature).
    • Ensure you report to the Executive Head of Concierge or any Senior Manager of any minor or major accidents during the process of driving or any other event.
    • Ensure all vehicles are in safe, clean and well-maintained driving conditions.
    • To carry out any reasonable tasks and duties given by the owner or senior management on the owner’s behalf.

    • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

  • Van Driver

    Salary: £30K

    The purpose of this role is to deliver our goods in full, on time and in good condition taking all precautions to avoid damage or delay; to provide an efficient and courteous service to our customers.

    Key Tasks/ Responsibilities:

    • To keep a clean and tidy appearance at all times.
    • To wear any staff uniform and name tag that may be provided.
    • Ensure that vehicle is kept mechanically sound and clean.
    • Report any vehicle problems promptly to the Transport Supervisors.
    • Report any accidents immediately to the Transport Supervisors.
    • Ensure that you are familiar with the Company procedures in case of an accident.
    • Report any changes to the points on your Driving License immediately and give a new photocopy to the Transport Manager.
    • At no time to use the Company vehicle for private use.
    • Check all items for delivery before loading and complete appropriate paperwork.
    • Load your own vehicle.
    • Deliver goods in accordance to the instructions received taking note of any special instructions for particular customers.
    • To drive carefully and with due consideration to other road users.
    • Not to drive in bus lanes, break speed limits, block restricted junctions or park illegally where this can be reasonably avoided.
    • To avoid getting a Parking Ticket wherever possible.
    • To avoid breakages either when loading or unloading or unsafe stacking or caused by the manner of your driving. To use internal straps to secure products when necessary.
    • To keep the company’s mobile phone switched on to receive messages and to observe the Company’s Hands-Free Policy.
    • To always be polite and helpful to the customers.
    • To communicate to Transport Manager any problems or queries from customers immediately they are received and to seek instructions.
    • To get a signed Proof of Delivery from the customers on delivery.
    • To notify the Transport Manager immediately of any frozen returns and take instructions.
    • To report in to Transport Manager at the end of your day’s work.
    • To ensure that your Tacho Card is downloaded daily.
    • To complete a Drivers Sheet giving details of customers and vehicle mileage.
    • To complete a Returned Goods sheet for all items returned and to put with goods in Returns Area.
    • To assist in the warehouse as instructed by the Transport Supervisors or Transport Manager.
    • Working with Technical Department accountable for all Food Safety, Legality and Hygiene matters in the company.
    • To comply and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure food quality/ safety checks and paperwork are completed as per document requirements.
    • To adhere to good storage & distribution processes.
    • To ensure compliance with Driver’s Hours Regulation and Road Safety Regulation.
    • To report immediately to the Transport Manager if legality is breached by any action taken by you.
    • To notify the Transport Manager immediately of any points endorsed in your license even if these relate to offences committed while driving your own personal vehicle or other vehicle that is not operated by the company.
  • Parcel Delivery Driver

    Pay: £18.00 – £22.00
