    YOUR ROLE

    We are seeking a Van Driver to join our operations team for a prestigious client based in London NW10. Due to the sensitive nature of the client, a thorough 3-month vetting process will be required for the successful candidate before the start date. The role will involve navigating internal drops at the large client location. This includes moving items between various departments and ensuring timely and efficient delivery within the site.

    The shift pattern is Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 19:00, and Friday from 10:00 to 18:30.

    The salary for this position is £30,270.24 per annum, plus an additional £1,602.21 per annum as a London Waiting Allowance.

    WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

    Ensure goods are delivered on time and to the correct location with accurate completion of associated system transactions

    Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are reported and remedied

    Always comply with all vehicle and site security requirements

    Oversee or check the safe loading of vehicle ensuring compliance with company and legislative safe working practices

    Drives vehicle to destinations and tip load in accordance with customer requirements and special instructions

    Carry out vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks prior to the operation of any vehicle and report any defects

    Ensure compliance with security requirements in all areas of the operation

  • Van Driver Needed

    To tell you more about the role, we work with the biggest micromobility company in Europe.

    We need drivers to carry out 3 tasks;

    1. Retrieve broken bikes from the streets of London and bring them back to the depot.

    2. Deploy/dispatch fresh bikes from the depot onto various dropspots. Here you would usually drop off 7/8/9+ bikes at a time.

    3. Move bikes that may be clustered in one area to another area/dropspot.

    We set very realistic targets to allow all drivers to meet them.

    So what makes a successful Delivery Driver?

    • To succeed as a G4S Delivery Driver you will need to hold a valid UK driver’s licence and be confident when communicating with customers and colleagues in both written and spoken English. An appropriate level of numeracy is also very important, and you will be adept following specific procedures and instructions and be able to work to tight deadlines. We ideally seek:
    • Previous experience in a driving role would be extremely beneficial but is not essential, as would experience using IT and computer systems.
